58TH NATHU LA DAY CELEBRATIONS BY SECOND TO NONE - 11 SEP 2025

The 58th Nathu La Day was celebrated with due solemnity and pride to honour the bravery displayed during the 1967 Nathu La skirmish. The battle is remembered as a turning point wherein Indian troops successfully repelled repeated Chinese provocations, restoring national pride and parity with China. The heavy losses inflicted on the adversary stands as a testament to the courage and determination of Second to None.

The event was celebrated in unit location in Ferozepur Cantt today. It was graced by the presence of Brig Vikram Nagpal, SM, Director, Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi. The day of 11 Sep 25 began with a special Mandir Parade followed by a Wreath Laying ceremony, paying homage to the fallen heroes and brave hearts of Nathu La Paltan. A Special Sainik Sammelan was organised in Unit premises which was first addressed by CO, Col Varun Khajuria, SM who congratulated the unit on the solemn occasion and shared the best wishes bestowed upon by our veterans with troops of unit. The troops were then addressed by Brigadier Vikram Nagpal, SM who lauded the paltan on the occasion and shared memorable stories of valour and sacrifice. His address was followed by spirited interaction with the troops over tea also and a group photograph capturing happiness and bonhomie. The event finally culminated with a traditional Barakhana, fostering camaraderie and esprit de corps.

The celebration served as a reminder of the historic sacrifice and valour of unit soldiers at Nathu La and reaffirmed the spirit of ‘Naam, Namak and Nishan’ amongst the proud Grinders.
