AWWAL EKKIS BRINGS LAURELS TO THE REGIMENT

Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, SM, GOC-in-C, Northern Command visited the 21st Battalion of the GRENADIERS Regiment on 17 November 2025. The Army Commander was briefed by Colonel Rahul Seth, Commanding Officer on the successful anti infiltration operation (OPERATION PIMPLE) which was conducted by the Battalion from 07 to 09 November 2025 and led to the elimination of the infiltration bid by two terrorists and recovery of huge quantity of war like stores.

During his visit, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma took the opportunity to congratulate the Battalion which settled into its new operational role in a brief timeline of three months and highlighted that this is a mark of true dedication and high morale of the Battalion aptly reflecting its unity and commitment towards achieving excellence.

He also interacted with troops, lauding their professionalism and unwavering commitment towards maintaining the sanctity of the Line of Control and keeping Jammu and Kashmir free from terrorism. 

The Army commander also awarded three on the spot Commendation Cards to deserving individuals of the battalion.
