NB SUB GULVEER SINGH OF 23 GRENADIERS WON BRONZE MEDAL

Nb Subedar Gulveer Singh of 23 GRENADIERS has once again made history at the Commonwealth Games 2026, securing the Bronze medal in the Men’s 5,000 metres track event. This achievement adds another milestone to his remarkable campaign in Glasgow and reinforces his status as one of India’s top distance runners.

A display of speed, strength and endurance: The Men’s 5,000m is a fiercely contested event that demands a blend of tactical awareness, sustained speed and exceptional endurance. Nb Sub Gulveer Singh delivered a composed and intelligent race, positioning himself strategically throughout and producing a powerful finish to clinch the podium.

A dual medal Commonwealth Games:  With this Bronze in the 5,000m and a Silver in the 10,000m, Nb Sub Gulveer Singh has completed a standout Games, winning two medals in long distance track events - a rare and inspiring feat for an Indian athlete. His performances have not only brought glory to the nation but have also set a new benchmark for Indian distance running.
