RAISING DAY OF TRIUMPHANT THIRD

CELEBRATED ON 04 AUG 2026

Third Bn The GRENADIERS is one of the oldest Battalion of the Regt raised on 04 Aug 1768 as 1^st Sepoy Bn of Bombay Army, it joined the Regtl folds in 1922.

The Battalion commemorated its 258^th Raising Day on 04 Aug 2026 by paying homage to its martyrs.  A wreath-laying ceremony was convened, followed by a Special Sainik Sammelan by the Commanding Officer.  The supreme sacrifices of the gallant soldiers of the Triumphant Third were remembered with pride and the Battalion renewed its pledge to uphold their honour and legacy.
