RCL JEEP OF THE LEGEND AT ARMY DAY 2026

The iconic RCL Jeep of CQMH Abdul Hamid, Param Vir Chakra (Posthumous) was displayed at Jaipur during Army Day 2026, drawing wide admiration. This historic Willys Jeep played a decisive role in the Battle of Asal Uttar (1965), where CQMH Abdul Hamid destroyed eight enemy Patton tanks before making the supreme sacrifice.  

A JCO-led team briefed senior dignitaries of the Armed Forces, civ dignitaries incl the Governor and Chief Minister of Rajasthan and enthusiastic school children; bringing alive the story of courage and battlefield innovation. Witnessing the Jeep first hand, visitors connected deeply with a legacy of valour, sacrifice and the enduring spirit of The GRENADIERS.
